Where is everyone
I've noticed this forum isn't really all that active. Posts are sporadic at best sometimes up to a month in between. Is this good news that people are working or have we all run out of things to say?

Re: Where is everyone
Hi Hunter,
It's been this way for several months now. Even at best the activity is light (not even one new thread per day). The Unemployment News thread is practically non-existent. We used to get at least 1 news event every day.
There really hasn't been anything to report. I suppose putting displaced workers back to work isn't a priority for the government in this jobless "recovery", with all the scandals going on now in Washington. Maybe they figure the problem will eventually take care of itself if and when the economy improves, and after millions of people's lives are distroyed and they can no longer work.
I'm still underemployed and working 2 low-paying jobs. My wife is still working her low-paying job, where practically everything she makes goes to health insurance.

Re: Where is everyone
Living this way for 5 1/2 years and all I have lost has worn me down. Everyday is the same, and I really have nuttin to add any more. I post once in a while to let people know I am still surviving ,if that s what you want to call it ...

Re: Where is everyone
the "jobless recovery" has a lot to do with the financial market making up such a huge part of GDP (around a third i think).
If you shuffle the same dollar bill around many, many times it generates "income" for wall street but produces nothing.....
i noticed samething about the lack of posts myself....

Un and Under employed is the new normal. We have been dismissed. With so many people not working or working in low paying jobs, how does government plan to collect the revenue it needs to keep (non) functioning?
