Am i elegible?
Gave two weeks notice at a job i was at almost three years to go to a new employer.
New employer doesnt check my credentials BEFORE hiring me but offer me the job none the less. Theyre eager to hire me and have me start ASAP, but i insist on giving my at the time present employer a full two weeks notice. I submit my resignantion to that job and train for and start the new job on my days off from the current employer.
After working for them over a week they inform me my credentials don't pass thier insurers stadards (a motor vehicle drivers license check) and tell me i cant do the job. They offer me one i CANT do, due to medical restrictions. Despite fact i know i cant do the optional job, i TRY it for one day and end up in great pain and discomfort for about three days after the fact.
I have an unemployent phone interview on December 18, 2012 and have sent the department of labor all my medical records showing the health issues i have preventing me from doing the new job.
What do any of you think my chances are of bieng aproved? While speaking with friends and family most everyone says it seems like i SHOULD be aproved and that the new employer was the cause of me becoming unemployed but they may be biased. I want unbiased opinions from my peers here online, such as yourselves. Kindly please leave your opinions and thoughts. Thanks!
