Why are we not screaming about this insanity.

I think because there is so much to scream about and everyone is slowly sinking into survival mode. Seems the only things Congress can accomplish are bills that take away from the citizens. People should begin getting their health insurance rebate checks in about two weeks - is Congress going to demand that the insured send the checks back? We the people have lost all representation. I just hope the coming election starts to change things around. But with the people that are the hardest hit - the homeless - not being able to vote because they don't have an address, it seems they have already done what needs to be done to win the war against We The People. Not one Congress critter has put forth a bill to address the wreckage that this economy has brought to our shores. Instead, they try to convince us that dumpster diving is a great way to feed our families.

Re: ~Another Wasted Vote~
Yes, rebate checks - they are being mailed out now. The health insurance companies must "reimburse" for administrative costs that are above a certain percentage. I don't think they are allowed to charge over 20% for admin costs - but I could be wrong on the exact percentage amount. If a person is individually insured, the check goes to them directly. If a person is insured through an employer, the employer gets the check and then reimburses the employees. The average amount seems to be around $150. Many people have already received reimbursement, and all reimbursements must be out by August 1. Its in the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) but its been over two months since I read it so I know better than to rely too heavily on my memory.
I hope everyone that has paid into a health insurance plan over the past year gets a nice surprise very soon.
