Open Dialogue, Everyone's Opinion Welcome
This is just a general statement, and I'm sure my fellow administrators and moderators agree with me on this ... it doesn't matter if you support Democrats, Republicans, Independents, The Tea Party or whatever party your choose to stand behind. We want everyone to know that everybody is welcome to stand behind and voice their opinion about the party that they support.
No member shall be criticized, chastised, shouted down or banned or restricted from the UFF community because they have decided to voice their support for a party that another member may not agree with. Like we've said before, our community will be completely neutral in this regard and will allow opinions and views without fear of being subject to a forum restriction.
We invite everyone's view, no matter what that view is, and this will always be part of our policy. We think clear, open dialogue about all political parties is a given and that our members are intelligent enough to welcome and engage in challenging, supportive and thoughtful conversation.
The only thing that we ask is that everybody respect every member's choice.

Civil dialogue is great!! We can learn from each other that way much better than being at each other's throat!!

Well, while we're not restricting anyone's point of view, we're also taking a stand concerning bashing a political figure. If the comment is seen as nothing more than bashing a politician just for the sake of bashing that politician, then we'll be drawing a line.
Right now, we're just gauging to see how everyone behaves. The one thing that we ask from everyone is to make sure that your comments and remarks are constructive ... remember, we really do mean "no forum negativity."
For instance, if you post a remark that says "Obama's Health Care Plan is unconstitutional and it's the Democrats way of enforcing socialism on the American People," then we would consider that to be a constructive comment. However, if you post "Obama is an idiot and Health Care is unconstitutional," then we're going to react to your posted message simply because it is not being constructive. That kind of message isn't balanced and is only meant as a negative slant.
We don't mind opposing views, but, at the same time, be constructive in how you're posting your remark.

We encourage a "Healthy" debate. This is what makes this country (or did) the greatest place to live. As long as we all respect one another even if we disagree. If you find yourself disagreeing too frequently and getting into situations where you may step over the line, just use the FOE feature.
I certainly hope this wont be needed though, as I hope us all to be "Friends"

Exactly, which is why I felt an illustrated point should serve as an example ... I don't want the members thinking that they can post criticism about an elected official without being constructive about it.
We encourage healthy debate, but, we also realize that debate can get heated which is why we ask that every member be constructive when they're posting their own views. See, it's okay to post about supporting the Republican Party, and rest okay knowing that not a single member will criticize you for it. But, if you make an unflattering remark about someone, we do ask that the comments be constructive and on point.

Washington marches to the beat of their own drum. Conscience, ethics, and moral values take a back seat to the platform of the party they represent when they deem it necessary.

Washington won't do anything unless they have no other choice. They're all self-serving hooligans.
