EB question
I am about to get EB on my new claim. I won't get very many weeks. I have an old claim that I was on EB and there are still funds left. Once I exhaust my new EB am I entitled to the old EB? I am hoping I am blessed with a job and can be done with all of this but very nerve racking. I am probably only going to get 11 weeks on the new claim. I didn't have that job for long so not much money. The old EB still had about 14 weeks left.
Thanks for your help

Re: EB question
I can't offer much help on this, but someone else here may be able to. But in order to do that, we need to know what state you are in. Your best bet may be to call them.

Re: EB question
So you made enough money to get a "new" claim? Meaning you have gone through all the tiers etc already on this "new" claim.
Re: EB question
I am in Florida. Yes, I had a job for about 5 months and the business closed down. I was back to the drawing board. I was put back on my existing claim and was on EB. A few weeks later they started me on this new claim. I went through the tiers quickly because I didn't get much money on this claim. I won't get much for EB either. I probably will get maybe 11 weeks. I still have 14 weeks left on my old EB claim.

Re: EB question
You have to call them. States differ on old vs. new claims. Some require you to finish completely your old claim including EB then they start a new one, that's how PA works. Others offer a new claim right away and then revert back to the old one once you have exhausted your new claim. Best bet is to call your local UC office. That way you can plan financially with a little more ease. Remember though, they have changed the rules recently and things are different, claims are shorter.
