The ability of Washington to turn everything on its head has no limits. We are in the midst of the worst economic downturn since the Great Depression. Even though the recession officially ended two years ago, there are still more than 25 million people who are unemployed, can only find part-time work or who have given up looking for work altogether. This is an outrage and a tragedy. These people's lives are being ruined due to the mismanagement of the economy.

The basic story is that the average worker and retiree will have to sacrifice because of the damage that the Wall Street crew did to the economy. That is what democracy in America looks like now.

Hmmm, let's see...

1. The unemployed need not apply (and especially the LT unemployed)
2. No more UI extensions
3. Tons of foreclosures
4. Job outsourcing
5. Raising of age to collect SS
6. Health insurance? If repubs have their way there will be no Obamacare.
7. Cuts to SS, Medicare and Medicaid, the people who can least afford to endure these cuts.

Sounds like Obama sold us down the river. Sounds like he's not getting re-elected. If a repub gets in office, look out. It only gets worse.

I vote for Sanders, Dean or Pelosi for president.

Hope this guy is one of the 1% of the decent.
Course why is he telling us the recession ended? He needs to smarten up on that, it NEVER DID. Im kind of confused, he tells us we are in a Depression but the recession ended huh? Sounds like he needs to make sure to read some alternative new sources...to get it all straight.

Actually we have been working a Depression since Ronnie Raygun came to power! We have been too stupid to realize this! We had some good Clinton years and that is that.

It didn't even mentions the Wars that we will be paying for.
