First Time Claims down 1,000 to 428,000
In the week ending June 25, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 428,000, a decrease of 1,000 from the previous week's unrevised figure of 429,000. The 4-week moving average was 426,750, an increase of 500 from the previous week's unrevised average of 426,250.

I love all the excuses they use for the increases for unemployment. Everything from the earthquake in Japan to the tornadoes in the south. They just keep spinning it.

I think it is pretty pathetic. The higher these numbers stay, the longer it will take me to find a job - especially in this state or the surrounding areas. Looks like I better start looking for that all-weather tent and sub-zero sleeping bag.

This jobs picture just continues to bounce around the bottom. This has been going on month after month, since the so-called end of the recession 2 years ago? Yeah, right! Some recovery.
