In the week ending June 25, the advance figure for seasonally adjusted initial claims was 428,000, a decrease of 1,000 from the previous week's unrevised figure of 429,000. The 4-week moving average was 426,750, an increase of 500 from the previous week's unrevised average of 426,250.

I love all the excuses they use for the increases for unemployment. Everything from the earthquake in Japan to the tornadoes in the south. They just keep spinning it.

First Time Claims down 1,000 to 428,000  806957 I think it is pretty pathetic. The higher these numbers stay, the longer it will take me to find a job - especially in this state or the surrounding areas. Looks like I better start looking for that all-weather tent and sub-zero sleeping bag.

This jobs picture just continues to bounce around the bottom. This has been going on month after month, since the so-called end of the recession 2 years ago? Yeah, right! Some recovery.
