looking for someone who's been unemployed for 18 or more months
I am a grad student at the University of Arizona and an intern at public affairs TV program that appears on PBS stations in the Phoenix and Tucson areas.
This week's program will be on termination of unemployment benefit program, and we are looking for someone from TUCSON, AZ who has been unemployed for 18 or more months for an on-camera interview for the program.
Preferably, it would be a non-labor worker.
Please, contact me if you are willing to give an interview.

We are looking for a diversity in our program and we want to show a variety of professionals who are unemployed.

We are looking for a person who has been unemployed for at least 18 months and is still jobless.
Due to the unemployment rate drop, the federal benefit extension program will be terminated this Saturday. It means that AZ will only pay for 73 weeks instead of 99 weeks and we are looking for somebody who is going to be affected by this change to share their story on camera with the viewer. Just to share their personal experience and how this life is going to affect them, their lifes and families.
The program is going to be filmed this Friday from 11 30 to 1. It is possible to discuss time and date. The program is going to be aired this Friday.

thanx for response, good luck with your project. I reside in Ohio so don't think 'fit' your profile. This unfortunate set of circumstances has affected thousands of claimaints who have exhausted due to various reasons, ending various tier levels and not triggering/augmenting onto future extensions, for some time now, over a year and a half, and state legislatures, DC, and economists', and DOL, are fully aware of it. Hopefully you can generate the stat's and findings will reveal some consistent outcome that can be used to pursuade/influence the politicans in Arizona, and maybe even nationwide to expand the UI extension program in allowing for the rules and policies to fully benefit the claimants durign this terrible recession.

Re: looking for someone who's been unemployed for 18 or more months
IM quite certain you definately will, with all the traffic of members/readers on this site, being taht it originally was developed over 2 years ago. Its one of the better sites for professionals, in comparison to opencongress.org and washingwatch.com , which you need to be careful with as well as couple others in dealing with real people. Most of us have detailed storied backgrounds that would greatly benefit you, in your report and in sharing it with the general public and viewers.
The state Unemployment compensation rules and regulations also prohibit and restrict claimants from qualifying for extra insurance on benefit amounts that they would otherwise qualify for, but due to 'broken' rules that are ancient, and still not reflective to current times, we continue to struggle in that regard. So, in nutshell, its not just EB program that has limited the insurance/economy with regards to the unemployment insurance extensions, but also rules.
