Oregon UR drops, more BS
They have to think we are stupid, every indicator says unemployment is going up.
I even read a story this morning giving credit to PA 7.8% and DE 8.2% for bring the national average down to what is it now, 9.0%, bring it down, I thought it was up from 8.8%. I think they are trying to drive us nuts. PA will not be releasing its April unemployment until, get this, June 1st. No rhyme no, no reason. I think they are trying to drive us nuts, while we are hearing a probable double dip. It is too much.
This Oregon Republican Governor is going to use the money for EB for Job creation, uh-huh. Keep tuned folks, I am sure there is more to come, the Republicans want to crash the economy, they are "slime."

Oregon's unemployment rate is finally back in single-digit territory. State labor economists Tuesday announced that the seasonally-adjusted rate fell to 9.6 percent in April.
That's the lowest it's been since December of 2008.
Democratic Governor John Kitzhaber called a press conference to say the new numbers prove that Oregon's economic recovery is well underway. But Kitzhaber also called on lawmakers to approve several of his economic initiatives.
John Kitzhaber: "The recovery is uneven. There are parts of the state that have not benefited as much as other parts of the state. So we have the opportunity this session to build on this strong start, to create family wage jobs and to attract new investment and to help revitalize particularly hard hit communities."
The governor cited his proposal to retrofit school buildings to make them more energy efficient, as well as his plan to speed up permitting on potential industrial projects.
Some Republican lawmakers have complained that the legislature has been slow to act on job creation bills.

Re: Oregon UR drops, more BS
Hey Dazed, you beat me to it I was going to post this myself after seeing the local news, not sure if you were talking about the UR in Oregon going down being BS, but I am. How can the UR go down when when 22,000 people, 99ers like myself were able to start claiming benefits with OEB-3, I was able to claim the last two weeks in April and the first two in May. You would think if 22,000 more people were claiming UI the UR would go up. Only thing I can figure is once your a 99er your permanently removed from the ranks of the unemployed, this is crazy.
