Sad day today. I am officially a 99 as of 330 PM EST

Well the day I hoped I would never see is here. At 330pm I will be an official member of the elite club 99ers.
Never in a million years when I was 1st let go would I say that I would still be out of work right now and not had an interview in a year.
This bout of unemployment has devastated my life like it has many of yours.
I went from being secure financially, owning my own place, happily married to
Bankrupt, living at home with Mom and separated from my wife and broke.

The only positive thing that I can gather from this is I made some friends along the way and have a whole different outlook on life.
On a side note, I do have a job prospect and feel pretty good about it.
Granted I will be taking a HUGE paycut but its better than zero dollars.
Anyways enough of my sob story, I just figured Id let yall know Im part of the club now.

I find it hard to put to words, something, anything. I read these posts and I "feel" them so deeply. I try to twist my down moods, but it is really hard, and what I don't think anyone understands is that I am not looking for sympathy, but for just to be listened to, and the advice though I believe it is usually well intentioned actually feels like a knife being stabbed in my back. I think the reason I am so much more sensitive is because so much time has passed. Based on the last notice I received one last week of extension, then I will be living solely on savings which were intended for reroofing the house and other repairs that I was preparing for as I knew these would be needed over 10 years ago when I bought my house. I tell myself I am relatively lucky, even if I can survive a number of months, then what? What about when the city starts forcing me to do these repairs, my town may have good intentions but if I don't have the money, the house will be a bit in disrepair. I guess I do have words.. not sure it is what I wanted to say. So.. I will end here, thanks for listening.

Thanks everyone for your support (err... I guess with some folks) It has not been a good night for me at my new "Home" This is a huge change for me.
However I have a roof over my head and the food is good so.....

Im grateful I have that.

Well, its my 1st full day being a 99er. I have to say the anxiety level is up a notch. Praying we all get jobs soon and turn things around.

Yeah this sucks. I am visiting my mom for mother's day this weekend.

My birthday was last week and she asked me what I wanted. I told her "food".

I am almost out of money, no savings left.

If this situation isn't fixed next week, I'm screwed.

NO savings really for me either enough to cover my expenses here for a few months or so.. One more check left as well. Ive also been selling some items on craigslist to supplement my income. This week IM going to hit the neighbors up asking if they want their lawn Mowed. I saw quite a few that needed mowing. If its old folks they probably prefer someone mows it.
