A President should lead. A President should stand for something. A President should not be afraid of speaking bluntly - to those who oppose him politically, to those who support him, to the American people. You have on occasion demonstrated that you know how to do that. Why did we not hear that blunt speech as this crisis was developing?

It seems as if you have been ignoring us all along.

But just one question, Mr. President. One that perhaps you need to consider.

What happens if we decide we have had enough? What if we return the favor?

What if we decide we will ignore you?

A 12 year old could go up there and make Boehner look like the corprate puppet he is. SHAME ON YOU OBAMA FOR NOT STANDING UP TO THEM.

Its very hard to respect and back a man who won't stand up for himself. The tax breaks for the rich are a prime example. Its not what the people wanted AT ALL! Every poll taken said so.

This nation has become a global laughing stock. I can only hope that the good people endure.

Obama to me is worse than Bush ( and I am a Black male), simply becasue at least with Bush you knew you were getting stupidity, arrogance, and greed. Obama has seem to be the perverbial vampire and snuck in the door( with an invitation) under the disguise as a democrat, and has behaved like anything but.

In my personal opinion all of the theatrics that we witness even up to his SOTU, and speeches, there has been such a lack of not only pro-action, but connviction that I have no choice to believe that he, like most of l his predecessors have had this corporate/slave mentality pre-meditated the whole time.

If life is a test ( and I believe it is ), then I can only wonder what things would be like without corruption and politicians.

I think we all will be getting to our breaking point once EB goes out the window. I will walk to Washington....This was a staged scenario, which Boner call a "Hard Fight" to cut the budget. Well wait till 5 million more Americans fall.off their last Tier or EB, all Hell will break loose. We will be calling for a lot of heads to roll. Americans work hard, we can take a lot, but believe me there is a breaking point for everyone of us and I am dammed near it. D&C

It won't be just the unemployed community that will take to the streets. Look at all the social services programs that were cut. The C.E.O.s who got us into this mess are earning more than they did before the Great Recession due to their corporate tax cuts, while the average person suffers for it by losing essential programs. Head Start is a good example - how many low-income wage earners are going to have to give up their jobs because they can't afford traditional day care for their children? Charities have been out of money since December for fuel and housing assistance because LIHEAP couldn't keep up with the need before the proposed cuts.

It won't be much longer before we take to the streets, and it will be a lot more people than they realize. Americans are fed up and this last joke of a budget stand off sealed the deal for many.

I have to say it's good to be in the cyber company of good people, but to remain on topic, I do feel like that it is coming. The only thing is for some reason I feel like the nazi-idiots are prepared for it (hence their sloppyness as of lately) Personally I can't help but be upset as well.

I will say, if they hae pre-mediteted all of this, you can believe they know that we will at some point decide to fight back.

They know - just ask anyone you know who belongs to the National Guard. When they do their required training, they go through all the duties to protect due to demonstrations which could happen at crisis times. Remember Kent State!!

You know what is so funny to me. I was reading on another site that after we "defeated" the Nazis, we got their scientistist and professors to come over here.

It makes perfect sense cause things are boarderline draconian in nature lately; but it is making sense.
