BOSTON—A no-joke April Fool's snowstorm is bearing down on some parts of the Northeast after region enjoyed brief reprieve from its long, white winter.
The spring snowstorm is expected to hit late Thursday and into Friday morning -- which is April Fool's Day -- dropping up to a foot of snow in some areas including northwest New Jersey, eastern New York and around New England.

The joke is on us apparently...

THIS AFTERNOON: Cloudy and cool with light rain showers. Some snow flakes are likely in northern RI; although no accumulations are expected. Highs in the low to mid 40's. Winds from the east 10-15mph.

THIS EVENING: Steadier rain develops, possibly heavy at times, with some sleet and snow mixing in at times. Temps in the 30's.

OVERNIGHT: Rain, possibly heavy, with some sleet/snow. Lows around 35. Accumulations of an inch or less should be limited to far northern Rhode Island.

FRIDAY: Rain and snow into the afternoon, but no accumulations expected. Highs around 39 with gusty northeast and northerly winds.

We are cold here but under flood watches and warnings. Maybe a little snow, more flurries, but still enough!!! You guys in New England, stay safe.
