"Despite a modest downtick in the aggregate unemployment rate due in part to labor force withdrawals, U.S. labor markets remain in a deep recession. High levels of open unemployment and underemployment and nearly 7 million hidden unemployed dominate the scene."

And then those in congress do this "U.S. House of Representatives recently passed a budget bill that would
eliminate all funding for dislocated worker programs under the existing
Workforce Investment Act."

But Jim, the top 2% got their tax extension, we don't need these programs, jobs are flocking to every city and state. (can you see and hear my sarcasm?) That money is being used for "much needed job creation".

What is interesting about the article, the numbers. The Huffington Post can get the numbers and break them down, but no one else seems to be able to get a grasp on these elusive numbers. And, thankfully, we are not referred to once as "no longer looking".

"Where are the jobs?"

lets not forget the 7 million workers who have "disappeared". Add them into the real numbers and were looking at 20% unemployment rate.
