Vote To Extend Unemployment Benefits
Congress is expected to vote any day to extend unemployment benefits for 3 months. A temporary measure until they can deal with the issue for the rest of the year. The same division exists as usual. Democrats are mainly for it, Repubs want to be for it, but they want it paid for.
Here's my question to the Repubs. A study done several years ago proves that unemployment benefits pay for itself, because practically all the benefit money received by unemployed people go right back into the ecomomy (to pay bills, buy food, etc.). For some reason, I don't hear anything about this anymore. Have they conveniently forgotten this fact?

Re: Vote To Extend Unemployment Benefits
Republicans assume tax-cuts for the rich/corporations are plowed into job creation. Unemployment goes directly back into economy, and pays state/local sales taxes.
We would have actual honesty drawn into politics.
Politics is infested with emotional hysteria, were people actually vote AGAINST there own best economic interest, that's why it is not emphasized
