Deidre Romine said she fished the coins out of the Logan County Courthouse fountain to buy food. But a cop spotted her and issued her a summons for petty theft.

All she needed to do was visit a soup kitchen, assuming there was one in her area. The $200 SNAP allotment for a single person for a month barely lasts two weeks. The cost of food has skyrocketed!
