I am having a really bad day!!!

Things are going really bad for me today. First, my spouse starts in on me about my being long term unemployed and she stated that I am simply not trying hard enough. Her argument is the DOW is way up, there are people getting jobs right and left, and she told me that I remind her of her alcoholic ex-husband. (I myself don't drink very much at all) She is convinced that I don't want to work and that is just not true at all. She even called me a lowlife loser and I had to fight back the urge to slap her. She and a lot of other jerks just simply do not want to hear that the economy is lousy and people like me get blamed. I am seriously thinking of packing me bags and leaving the old b**** and I can get a fresh start on life.
I am just very depressed and hurt right now and I do not understand why she would treat me this way. I am beginning to really believe that I am a good for nothing loser that will never get anywhere in life. I would suppose that is the way most people are these days and it will only get worse. I would rather face life on the street rather than being ridiculed by her. Sad but true! I am getting very near my breaking point and I cannot take it anymore. I am just out of ideas of how to help myself and perhaps get help for my wife and find out why she is being hateful to me. I think she should be supporting me and maybe even helping me find meaningful work. I helped her find a job and I tutored her through college since she cannot write to save her life. I guess that I am a loser after all!!!

I know this may sound stupid, but many of us have been or are in the same boat....just vent your anger away online here if it helps...

Try this one:  After long discussions with your spouse you mutually decide that it is in your best interest to leave a position then you hear him on the phone saying, "Yeah, she's out of work again, you know how it is..."

WTH?

Does it make them feel superior because they have a job?

I re-did my resume to apply for dog walker jobs.  I made the mistake of telling my spouse that it would be about $10 per job.  His ever intelligent reply was, "That's more money than you're bringing in now!"  
Excuse me???  Did he choose to forget the unemployment that I am currently getting?  Granted, it is not as much as what I was earning while employed but it is a bit more than $10.

We all want to run away; problem is, there is no place better to run to.

I saw the dog-walker ad on craigslist it was at dogwalker.com or something... a lot of paperwork for fido (background checks for dog-walkers?)....

Many times when people talk to others they will go-along with the opinion of the other person, so as to not upset the conversational tone...its to bad, because one would hope that they would stick up for you ....

Any spouse should know better than anyone else in your life just how hard you're trying to get hired somewhere. Turning on you is despicable.

When it comes down to money, times like these can bring out enemies in your own home. When all is said and done, are they supporting you and sticking by you when times are hard? If not, then you have to ask what they're there for when times are good. If you can have a fair-weather friend, you can also have a fair-weather spouse.

You don't find out who is and isn't in your corner until the bell rings. Sad.

Long term unemployment destroys lives, families, relationships and countries.

Life is too short to be a smuck on a forum so grow up. We are ALL tired of being out of work and all the hard ships that come with that.

   Got that right, Really? The little games are sickening. Those of us who do exist are really suffering, and have been for a few years. I wish others would just grow up! Go play games on a Tea Party site!!!!!

The TEA party is simply against more taxes and government inefficiency. People are tired of paying taxes.
