Why not a Unemployed self sustaining Community

Post by SameOlSong on Sun Apr 07, 2013 12:49 pm

I know this probably wouldn't work and yes I know there are plenty of tent cities outside most large towns and cities. But if only there could be a place where unemployed could live and Barter. It would have to be a place with great resources. Use money if possible or just Barter or help each other. Use timber, sawmills, take donations, to build self sustaining communities. Grow food, have food processing centers. Schools etc.... Of course this would have to be a place that people would not mind working for self gratitude but for the better wealth of all in the community. It could grow with the right attitude.

welcome to the forum.

there ARE several such "community" efforts using "local script" as currency. They offer interchagable services to one extent or another, however as far as providing for peoples needs "from the ground up" i am uncertain if anybody is SUCESSFULLY doing so.
