I have been unemployed since 2008 and my references and resume are so outdated that I probably will never work again! I just don't know what to do anymore! Crying or Very sad

First of all, welcome to the board! And you are certainly not alone! There are 10's of millions of people just like you, someone who through no fault of your own was removed from your job and thrown onto the unemployment scrapheap.

For the last several years, our fine government has been in the business of destroying lives, and it continues to this day.

I'am unhappy too, my husband has been on the unemployment merry go round for a year in a half too. Going from one temp job to another with nothing going permanent. Always somekind of a slow-down, not enough work before a job can go perm. I' am so frustrated!, as a matter a fact i am down right mad. He started a temp-to perm job on Monday that ended the same day, the company decided end the contract (not because he did anything wrong), don't know I guess not busy enough.

I tell you i'am so upset. These companies when they lay-off they are destroying and messing with people's lives, yet nothing is being done about it. People getting laid off everyday and nothing being done to stop it. Bank of America laid off 543 people in California and posted a 63% profit. This is so unfair I have just about had it.

I will tell all of you this, revolution is the solution. I don't understand why people are not rising up to do something.

I agree that revolution is the solution, but it would be squashed ina second. Their are not enough angry people to start a revolution. All that would happen is they would declare martial law and that would be the end of it. I really don't know what to do, I wish their was something I could do, but most unemployed don't have any resources to start a revolution, they have families to worry about. These times are not like the 1700 or 1800's where you could walk and march and take food from local farmers with pitchforks. You need cars to get places now, which means you need gas you can't just camp out anywhere without being arrested or harrased. You will be put in jail for anything now.

I guess you could march on Washington, but that will be ignored, its not like congress or the President are going to pass and give everyone a basic income all of a sudden. That is what we need a basic income for all. Their is too much control now, I really don't know what to do anymore either!
