The people who thrive over getting "stuff" on Black Friday have nothing. Those of us who understand "nothing" have much more, like much of the world.

Hope all those who waited in line on Thursday for WalMart to open, rather than giving thanks with their loved ones, will take a moment to remember the 100 plus garment factory workers who lost their lives in a fire in Bangladesh yesterday. The people who perished made dry goods for WalMart in a factory that was deemed "at risk" because it was 3 floors and only one exit. Also keep in mind the person who was caught shoplifting a DVR in a Georgia WalMart who died due to excess force by the store's minimum wage security personnel over the weekend. The employees were suspended without pay.

WalMart sucks!

i am 2 months into a contract, i am able too spare five dollars to eat a sandwich or two.
my car has 220,000 miles on it, i am debating whether to put 2-300$ into and hope to get it to last another year. or get another car which would probably cost about 1200-1400$(or more)

the Saturn i have has been driven and driven, this last two years we have welded and duct taped a few parts rather than replace them

my contract will expire in about 6-9 weeks or so and then maybe nothing for quite a while, who knows....

so everything you make goes to saving for the time when there is no work

Elvis, don t take my post personally. My reason for starting this topic was to point out once again what has become the 2 america s. You are in the latter category, but have learned how to survive.
