Peopl we who hire may misunderstand the longtermed unemployed
Since a lot of us may be long term unemployment. Even though we are learning to understand the hiring process, to someone who may not know what we have gone through will not understand how we feel. So act accordingly. If you don't they will think that you don't want it hard enough.
Since we may not want too excited about a job until we know we have gotten it, it is prechieved as though we don't want it.

i have recruiters tell me that i didn't sound elicited, and i tell them BECAUSE you are only submitting me to a possible interview...
the other side of this is in my opinion...being to excitable, so that i feel maybe its best to explain the whole process to them...

Re: Peopl we who hire may misunderstand the longtermed unemployed
In my ongoing saga to try to land the job with benefits I was told by my indirect contact from the direct contact in the company that I appeared to her that I didn't want the job. I thought I was jumping through hoops. I was shocked that she thought that until I realized that she did not know what I have been through. So to her, I appeared to be disinterested when in fact it is just the opposite. She and the people around me do not know that because I have lost so much and faced so much disappointment that I instinctly act disinterested to buffer any possible blow.
