Correct me if i am wrong, but Merckel is a conservative politician....
or the equivalent of our republican party (sort of)...

I suppose conservative means repeating the same mistakes over, and over

when the private sector is not performing up to snuff is when the nasty old government pumps money into the economy...
the us made this mistake in 1937, it was studied and the phenomonon is WELL known...in the 1990's the japanese went austerity and they still have fully to recover...

Conservatives always wish to return to a time which has only existed in their imagination...some small rural utopia.....God help us ALL!

well said elvis, when and where is it working. Of course to be fair to her and Germany, they are not the cause of this. That being said, sending the world into a depression isn't really the way to go at all.

Should be interesting to see with the additional funds they pumped in yesterday and the pressure on her to back off the complete austerity plan what will happen.

and yes, for many reasons, God help us ALL!
