The EDD just posted this on FaceBook and congress wants to cut our weeks?

State of California Employment Development Department~
We apologize for any delays you may be experiencing in trying to reach us by phone or online. On top of the lingering demand for benefits from the recession, this is the busiest time of year for the Unemployment Insurance program due to seasonal layoffs at businesses throughout the state. If you submitted an inquiry online, you should receive a response within 5-7 business days. Thank you for your patience and assistance in helping us meet this high demand for benefits.
