Angry President to House - "This is not poker, this is not a game,”

Post by Guest on Tue Dec 20, 2011 6:07 pm

The president also ripped an unnamed Republican for calling the latest GOP move — to vote to move to a conference committee with a Senate that has already left town — “high-stakes poker.”

“This is not poker, this is not a game,” said the president, who appeared angry and animated in his brief appearance.

I for one think POTUS thinks this is a game. I hope they do not pass this and do get a confrence committee with the senate to get this hashed out once and for all. Mr. Obama is happy with what the Senate has passed. WELL, NOT ME. ONCE again 99er's are left out. Exhaustees will be without once again. This BS needs to end once and for all and include the 99er's/Exhaustees.

NO 99ers included NO DEAL. Everytime we are kicked to the curb, with out any help or any legislation to make these company's that are hiring, start to hire, the Long Term Unemployed. Until it is a crime to exclude us, businesses will continue to do so & they are not afraid to say so. I am told over and over that while I was qualified for the job, they chose somebody with a more current work history. We need help until those company's will hire 99ers/Exhaustees or are forced to hire 99ers/Exhaustees and until that happens we need help! not backs turned to us.

Well said, Suerstevies. In March, 2012, it will be 2 years. Now, they want a supervisor for a reference you had within the last two years or they will not put you in for the job.

At least past Senator Sherrod Brown Bill. You can't discriminate against people that don't have any jobs, especially if it is greater than 6 months.

When are they going to take care of the 99ers or exhaustees.

There are new ones everyday.
