Analysis: Return of the pink slip? Risk of layoffs rising

Post by Guest on Thu Oct 13, 2011 3:18 pm

From Capitol Hill and Wall Street to small towns across the United States, discussions of the economy have focused on one key question for the past two years: When will corporate America start hiring again?

That may be the wrong question. With Europe's debt crisis rattling the world financial system and demand fading, the question on many executives' and economists' minds is whether the nation is on the brink of another large round of layoffs.

That was a pretty bleak read. It does not leave a lot of hope for those currently still out of work.

And fear in those that still have, or will be starting, jobs!

I think the real question these corporate dirtbags are really asking amungst themselves is, "What excuse can we use this time to keep from hiring so that we can hoard more money?".

AAAAAWWWWWW, they need to feel COOOOOMFORTABLE before they start hiring again! Poor Wimps!
