US Dept. of Labor BLS: September Unemployment rate holds at 9.1% - 103,000 Jobs added
http://www.bls.gov/news.release/empsit.nr0.htmTHE EMPLOYMENT SITUATION -- SEPTEMBER 2011
Nonfarm payroll employment edged up by 103,000 in September, and the unemployment
rate held at 9.1 percent, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported today. The
increase in employment partially reflected the return to payrolls of about 45,000
telecommunications workers who had been on strike in August. In September, job gains
occurred in professional and business services, health care, and construction.
Government employment continued to trend down.

Blah, Blah, Blah! Same old crappy news! More long term unemployed are no longer counted, but growing. We are 50,000 to 100,000 new jobs short to make a dent. No matter how you present this news it sucks!

I saw a news report on Ratigan that it's ALL bunk. 24 to 30 million OUT of work. 103,000 jobs CREATED. It's all bull! the MATH IS SO SHORT and WILL DO NOTHING at this rate. It NOW nothing MORE than FEEL good propaganda they keep shoveling in our face trying to fake us out. When they pop up and say 3 MILLION jobs were created in the month....THEN they can brag about it. Not until then.

Ratigan and Schultz's "disagreement" yesterday after the President's news conference was about the number of people out of work compared to the number of jobs the American Jobs Act would create. There is a BIG difference! The Jobs Act won't even put a dent in the number of unemployed, as Ratigan stated.

I know, it's like your bill is $20,000 but you pay .25 cents each month on it to pay it off. Same math applies to their bull number crunching on jobs.

Yeah, and on top of all this, August jobs figures were revised upwards by about 57K also! As usual, the predictions were way off. As of yesterday, the "experts" were predicting another terrible month, not that 103K is anything to brag about.

The report DOES admit that 45,000 returning Verizon workers from strike are included in the figure. You remove them, and it's another terrible month (just 58K created).
Also, I listened to 2 news sources (1 on cable, 1 on radio) and there was no mention of the Verizon workers. All they said was the figure was much higher than predicted, and that it was great news for the economy!
See, you can lie by omitting facts too!

45,000 IS MINUSCULE no matter HOW they flip or twist it WHEN the REAL numbers are in the MILLIONS. The difference between one penny and a thousand dollars. When 500 thousand a month GET jobs then it will be worth while. This numbers stuff is ALL Micky mouse BS to blow smoke up our assez.

Please this is all smoke and mirrors......What kind of jobs are these being created......Part time and Temporary jobs are not going to sustain the economy......I am so sick of these number being skewed.....every month we magically gain jobs.....but the economy is getting worse......go figure......We need REAL jobs....not pretend fantasy jobs.....
