President Obama Makes Strong Speech… But Let’s Wait for the Deal

Post by Guest on Wed Sep 21, 2011 10:18 am

But as in all things Capitol Hill: Let’s see the actual legislative language we end up with in the end and what is dealt away and agreed on during back room negotiations. In the 3 deals before (1.the Bush tax cut extension, 2. the gov’t shutdown deal of April, 3. the debt ceiling deal) the final details were quite different from what is said beforehand.

Like the old saying goes, talk is cheap. Most likely in the end the bill will resemble nothing like the original and the GOP would if gotten their way again.
I hope I am wrong but there is no reason to think otherwise.

I am not losing hope. Awareness is reallly on our side this time, like no other. The "other" side has not yet revealed their secret weapon on jobs, other than tax cuts, job creators, blah, blah, blah, dismantle the epa, blah and more blah, social security is a ponzi scheme and going broke, blah, blah. People just aren't buying it anymore. Don't know if we will get everything we need, but it certainly will point to who won't give it to us.
