Marxism isn't socialism and yes some in the crowd clapped at the personal responsibly part and two guys cheered at question of Death that hardly is the entire Tea Party org. (or represents them) the desperation of the left on the Tea Party is comical. There are fanatics in every group, I would be more impressed with this line of thinking if it were somebody in a leadership role as opposed to two ass clowns in the audience; but with Obama sinking and the Dems sure to lose the Senate I guess you got to take what you can get.

What is even scarier is that despite the despicable comments by Tea Party supporters at the debate the other night, the GOP still managed to take Anthony Weiner's seat in NY for Congress, something Republicans have been unable to do in that district in 90 years.

This happened despite the GOP contolled Congress's 13% approval rating and the well publicized comments about letting someone die who has no health insurance.

It is scary! I am shocked. I cant understand why people vote against their own best interests. Too many people are uneducated when it comes to politics and government. I am frightened to think what 2012 might look like.

I'm not sure if that race means as much as the GOPers are making it out to mean, tiya. Wasn't it a special election (so probably not as high a turnout?), and isn't that district being redistricted out of existence soon anyway? Or maybe it really is as bad as it it seems.

But tristen, I think it's disingenuous for you to say that the exuberantly pro-death sentiments expressed at the debates aren't typical of the attitudes among people in the Tea Party. C'mon, dude.

I don't know many people in the Tea Party nor care to (that's just the far right neocons that over took my party) so I don't know but if that sentiment was being promoted publicly I'm sure it would be all over the net (just as the poor attempt to legitimize this BS has been). A word of advice to the left: stop being so desperate and desperately trying to turn anything into some stupid all-encompassing propaganda ploy (independent voters aren’t buying it, you can believe your own BS but nobody else is listening). It makes you look weak and lacking ideas or direction. On this site alone it went from two ass clowns saying it to being the Repub party. You’re side says just as much stupid crap (even comes from your leaders) but yet no moral outrage very……..hypocritical. You guys talk about how stupid the electorate is yet those same stupid people voted your side in and now is only stupid because they don’t pay attention to your side anymore and want you out. Why? They see your actions as desperate…nobody wants to be affiliated with desperate. They want leaders taking a stand (even if they don’t agree with what’s being said or the stand they at least see backbone). You guys have become so obsessed with polling (being all things to everyone and not offending anybody) and this “I’m rubber your glue stuff” strategy is pathetic; bring your A game it works......remember the 90's?

Obama is a good President, how anybody on the right can dispute that is beyond me. He bends, he provides plans that get reworked and I think what people forget (as that he is based in constitutional procedure) does what the President is supposed to do.....let the houses put it together following his guidelines. To my right friends I offer this: have the jails in Cuba been closed....no, Have we pulled out of the wars our side started....no, have the tax cuts be rescinded......no have the EPA regs been rescinded....yes, has offshore oil permits come back on.....yes, did we kill Osama.....yes, did we get rid of Kaddafi (remember or father figure Reagan dropped a bomb on his ass)....yes, did the country stave off a depression....yes, and for my right leaning gun totting friends did he flood the market with weapons to have the bad guys shot it out with each other....yes so my question to my fellow brothers and sisters on the right is what hasn't he done that one of our Presidents would have done differently? Healthcare you say well go online that was our Repub issue back when we were REpubs not neocons and our plan included a public option (Newt decreed that without a public option it wouldn't work) so he has failed the right on that issue. Otherwise I find him to be the best example of a President up there. To bad the left and right can't leave him alone; you know the saying if you’re pissing everybody off your doing your job well. So who running at present could do all the above or do it better (with the added advantage of blaming him if it doesn’t work) ah Obama a true trifecta for the right?

Great point as usual Tristen. He is actually a very centrist president and governs down the middle which is what a president is supposed to do. The problem is that his voters thought they were getting an activist. The other problem is the republicans have fallen of the right wing cliff and there is no working with them. Mitt Romney will have the same problem.

If Obama loses we will have a republican house, republican senate, and republican white house. The problems will be the same and nothing will in improve. All economies are on cycles so in 4 more years it may improve enough by chance to get president perry re-elected but I won't bet on it.

People will be just as upset then as they are now and the it will swing back the other way.

Two things, tristen...

  1. I'd like an example of something one of "my leaders" has said over which I'm supposed to be outraged. I'd really like to know cause I'm not nearly p'd off enough lately.

  2. I heard an overwhelming (way more than two) number of people cheer the execution of over 200 human beings in Texas, at least one of which was almost certainly innocent. I call that pro-death sentiment by any standard. Just embrace it, man.

Yes, I too heard more than two as well.

Personal responsibility that every one of the candidates on that stage touts, along with their evangelical beliefs, did NOTHING. The audience is given a strict set of guidelines for conduct during the debate.

Not one of the candidates, not one, who all consider themselves Christians, turned to the audience, asked them to settle down and then addressed the fact that they were talking about human life, which they consider so precious, very conveniently, when they want to tell a woman she can't have an abortion, or when they want to scare Senior Citizens about death panels in the Obama plan, but, and it's a big BUT, when you don't have the individual mandate added, cannot afford insurance or lost your insurance because you lost your job and income, oh, kill em, bring it on baby. HYPOCRITES. Please don't listen to people preach personal responsibility when they have no morals and will do anything for a buck and anything to make President Obama a one term President, include ruin a country, THEIR country. They are all for smaller government as long as it's smaller government that can tell you how to live your life, what birth control you can use, who you can marry, where you can live, what you can make, what you can eat, drink and breathe, what you can drive, what you will pay and what you will earn. But, oh by the way, those rules will never apply to them or their families.

And as far as the Republican's celebrating (a little early) the special election victories, there are many pundits who believe that this isn't a Rep vs. Dem but a clean out of incumbents or whoever is running to replace an incumbent. That's the mentality of the voter today. That is even scarier than people running toward the Republicans. They just vote for anyone who wasn't part of the incumbent's machine. That was the sentiment largely that got us the Republican Congress last November. We all know how well that's going. The first grade class at Mantua Elementary would get more done than these clowns have and I bet they would have at least kept us from being downgraded.

Ah you think the left has the moral high ground? Your side speaks about evolution and talks up Darwinism when confronted with creation but yet Darwinism in the corporate world or workforce is bad. Then it's what would Jesus do? Or what’s Christian? so you work to save the lives of prisoners and animals but yet forget about the most innocent the unborn (remember you market yourself as the party that stands up and speaks for those who can’t) but when it comes the unborn it's a woman’s right, to choose (So killing isn’t so bad right). You laugh at Christians (or religion in general) call the electorate that doesn’t vote your way stupid, ignorant or brainwashed; the left has no moral high ground.
Knowing all the above and that you prefaced it with “I'd like an example of something one of my leaders has said over which I'm supposed to be outraged. I'd really like to know cause I'm not nearly p'd off enough lately”. I don’t know you well enough to know what would piss you off but I am smart enough to know that no example will meet your standards (won’t like the source, will agree with the statement, explain it away as a hyperbole statement etc.).
Your side is just as F**KED UP….all over the map, like I said “The left, all freedom with none of the responsibility.”

ObahhhhMah a marxist....is a really a very poor questin to ask.

How about changing the question to.... As 99'ers we will Glady work 25 hours a week at a volunteerr or even an intern job to boost our resumes, in exchange for 26 weeks more on UI.

See a much more approprite question to discuss

We have already made that statement several times in emails faxes tweets and phone calls to congress. We have commented on articles about it, have mentioned it on this site and others. We thought of this a year ago and have been saying it ever since....The democratic members of congress were very receptive to it, but of course the GOP was not. They dont care. They wont listen. They want nothing to do with the unemployed.

OK, tristen, among the peeing and sign stealing and eggiing (really?), there are a (very) few true examples of reprehensible behavior on the part of Democrats/liberals. Maybe...I don't have the energy to disprove any of them So, just for you...outrage:
MAD

There was also a lot of long-ago debunked BS, such as the nonsense about the Clinton team trashing the White House. Katherine Harris...I had blissfully forgotten about her. Thanks. You're a mensch.

You get an A for effort and for a change, directly answering a challenge, but in your zeal, please try not to get us mixed up--I'm the Godless Christian-hater, not the baby-killer.
