Please take a moment over the next few days to remember those we lost that day. May they NEVER be forgotten.

Also give a thought to the young men and women who have lost their lives protecting us since. And those in harms way everyday.

MAY GOD BLESS THEM ALL!

Remember 9/11 Empty Re: Remember 9/11

Post by TOO OLD TO HIRE IN PA Fri Sep 09, 2011 11:18 am

I am a survivor of the WTC bombing in 1993 and lost friends and co-workers in 2001. This is always a sad time for us. They will NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. We hope that the families of the victims will take extra comfort this year because that BASTARD who caused this is DEAD and rotting in HELL.

As we watch the 10th anniversary ceremonies, my husband and I will count our blessings, as we are alive and hanging in there. Going through unemployment seems so trivial when we think of all those souls who are lost to their families forever.

Remembering that day 10 years ago, and thinking about how unified we were. Americans came together to grieve, hold candlelight vigils and remember. We were proud to be American. What happened?

'MEET ME IN THE STAIRWELL'

You say you will never forget where you were when you heard the news on September 11, 2001. Neither will I.

I was on the 110th floor in a smoke filled room with a man who called his wife to say 'Good-Bye.' I held his fingers steady as he dialed. I gave him the peace to say, 'Honey, I am not going to make it, but it is OK ..... I am ready to go.'

I was with his wife when he called as she fed breakfast to their children. I held her up as she tried to understand his words and as she realized he wasn't coming home that night.

I was in the stairwell of the 23rd floor when a woman cried out to Me for help. 'I have been knocking on the door of your heart for 50 years!' I said. 'Of course I will show you the way home - only believe in Me now.'

I was at the base of the building with the Priest ministering to the injured and devastated souls. I took him home to tend to his Flock in Heaven. He heard my voice and answered.

I was on all four of those planes, in every seat, with every prayer. I was with the crew as they were overtaken. I was in the very hearts of the believers there, comforting and assuring them that their faith has saved them.

I was in Texas , Virginia , California , Michigan , Afghanistan. I was standing next to you when you heard the terrible news. Did you sense Me?

I want you to know that I saw every face. I knew every name - though not all know Me. Some met Me for the first time on the 86th floor. Some sought Me with their last breath. Some couldn't hear Me calling to them through the smoke and flames; 'Come to Me ..... this way ..... take my hand.' Some chose, for the final time, to ignore Me. But, I was there.

I did not place you in the Tower that day. You may not know why, but I do ..... However, if you were there in that explosive moment in time, would you have reached for Me?

Sept. 11, 2001, was not the end of the journey for you. But someday your journey will end. And I will be there for you as well. Seek Me now while I may be found. Then, at any moment, you know you are 'ready to go.'

I will be in the stairwell of your final moments.

God

To the Survivors and Families of those lost on 9/11, our prayers and thoughts are with you.

We will never forget, we will probably never forgive, but we must stay united. At times like those, we had one another and it got us through. Always remember that, we have each other.

I rant and carry on with my anger over my frustrations of our political system and those in office and say some harsh things because of our frustrations of todays economy and lack of jobs, however I will never forget September eleven 2001. Never! I was driving to my territory to a small town and I always listened to my radio station morning show that is the most listened to.Radio 84 WHAS. It was early and I was listening to Tony Crews and he was going through his morning routein and all of a sudden he said " Oh my gosh"! A plane has just crashed into the world trade center tower. He was very confused and it just happened and also the station has monitors that show all the major news networks and he continued saying we " don't have any details yet as to what type a plane it was or what happened" and slowly it began to shape up with more information and he continued saying " it was a airliner" and as he was saying more details to come he again yelled on the air" Oh my God" Another plane hit the other tower. Then obiviously one could only conclude this was a hostile act! As I drove to my second office in the small town I rushed in and the two guys who covered that office were standing there talking oblivious to goings on, and I rushed in and said TURN ON THE TV!!! They said why and I explained planes just hit the trade center towers! They looked dumbfounded and acted as if I was kidding, that is until the TV came on, then we just watched and I said OMG! This is a war act and we are going to be at war. As we watched I said " Those towers are going to collapse they can't take that heat and flame". All of a sudden number 1 tower collapsed and all looked on with total disbelief and hurting pain and minutes later the other tower went and that day became one of the darkest days of my life ever since the Kennedy assination only worse! WE WILL NEVER FORGET! YOU CAN HIT US BUT NEVER KNOCK US DOWN AND OUT! BECAUSE WE ARE AMERICAN'S AND MANY HAVE FAITH IN A GOD WHO IS BIGGER THAN ANY TERROR AND HATE AND ALSO SEEKS HIS OWN JUSTICE IN TIME! GOD BLESS AMERICA !!! Remember 9/11 66067 no

Watching the ceremonies on TV today has been really painful for me. Brings back so many memories. When those towers came down, I felt as if my home was crumbling, I was born and and raised on the Lower East Side and lived there for 45 years. It was a 15 minute walk to the WTC. I also had the privilege of working in Tower 2 for 14 years. May God bless all who were lost and may he keep our country safe.

I know we all remember that morning like it was yesterday. What happened in the days, weeks and months after was a wonderful coming together of Americans from all walks of life. May we remember that as we continue our individual journeys.

God Bless America, God Bless Americans.

God Bless all the Victims and their families whose lives will never be the same. You are in our prayers. Remember 9/11 34243

Yes how fitting that the mastermind of these attacks has met his maker before this important anniversary. May it bring some small peace to the families whose lives were forever changed. Remember 9/11 34243

I would like to thank those that posted here for keeping this thread respectful. Unfortunately, elsewhere, some used it to promote their conspiracy theories.

I watched the ceremonies yesterday up until i had to go to work. It brought back horrible memories. I cried the whole time. I will NEVER forget as I watched the 2nd plane hit the tower and then the people leaping out of the windows. I was watching the Today show as I did every morning back then when it happened. Katy Couric and Matt Lowery were on back then and they cut right to the towers just after the first plane hit. It was terrifying to watch. I wasnt even there and I was affected so badly by it....I cant imagine what it must of been like for those who were involved.

God Bless those who were lost and their families and all those affected. You will always be with us, even if we did not know you. America will never be the same..... Sad
