An estimated $30 billion from the bailout that was slated to help homeowners is likely to be used to pay down the debt.

TRANSLATION: More of our taxdollars will be used to pay down the deficit caused by taxcuts for millionaires and billionaires that don't see any responsibility to participate in the cost of running a country that has given them so much. Oh yeh, that's right, they "worked" for it.

Yes they did and the country doesn't owe you s**t just by birth right. If the country gave them something then the country gave everyone else the same opp just because some were to stupid or clueless on what to do vs what others did doesn't mean they are wrong or owe the other group. Our founding fathers said it best lest we forget; “To take from one, because it is thought his own industry and that of his fathers has acquired too much, in order to spare to others, who, or whose fathers, have not exercised equal industry and skill, is to violate arbitrarily the first principle of association, the guarantee to everyone the free exercise of his industry and the fruits acquired by it.” — Thomas Jefferson

risten303, I think you're getting the working class mixed up with the royals. It's the working class that's footing the bill to keep all of the services (police, military, etc.,) that we take for granted running. I'm referring to the trillions that have been lost, because the royals have given themselves tax breaks - unprecedented during wartime - that when combined with all the write-offs, incentives, off-shoring etc., exempts them from participating completely, although they've benefited the most from this country. I'm NOT referring to working class citizens who have worked their a$$es off for every nickel they have - the gangster elites have turned the tax structure upside down - those that can afford to give a little more - and wouldn't notice it, are skipping off and getting away with it. Most of them don't work except to ensure the earth remains a living hell for everyone else - they live off of their investments and wealth they inherited. Don't ever forget that their fortunes were "earned" off the backs of free labor. Even when slavery was abolished, the pittance they paid those that broke their backs for them barely put food on the table - look up the Ludlow massacre to see how the royals "earned" their wealth. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ludlow_Massacre

You can't possibly think that I had the same opportunity as George Bush. In fact, George was very vocal about what a waste of money it was to provide so much public education - "how much education do you need to use a shovel?" This is also the same ignat that bragged about paying people to take exams for him in college, and failed at EVERY business endeavor he attempted until his father's buddies came along and bailed him out. No there isn't equal opportunity in America - some do luck out and land a job with a corporation that's not run by a Mitt Romney, but they haven't worked harder than me. Those of us who have been the casualties of downsizing, mergers, outsourcing, etc., the games these a$$holes play competing with one another, will never regain the wealth we lost - you cannot catch up.
