Stand Up to Bullies—Don’t Let Them Tear America Apart

Post by Guest on Mon Jun 27, 2011 11:36 pm

When our economy’s broken, we need leaders who will fix it—not politicians who throw temper tantrums.

Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security are not just lifelines for working people and the poor—they’re all that’s stopping our economy from falling off a cliff again.

Urge President Obama and congressional Democrats to get America out of the ditch we’re in.

Rather than working to fix our economy, some bullies in Congress are intent on keeping it in a ditch. It’s a partisan strategy to score political points and cost Democrats the election.

Don’t cave in to bullying and tantrums. Just because Rep. Cantor and Sen. Kyl stormed out of the room, don’t let them get what they want. Stand up for what’s right. Don’t make cuts to Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security. Instead, insist that congressional Republicans make millionaires and billionaires pay their fair share.

As budget negotiations continue, I need you to stand strong. If you do, I want you to know I’ll have your back.

Please send this message to your Representative and two Senators! Just sign up with your email address, put in your zip code and the message will be sent! Here is another opportunity to make our voices heard!
