The song and message will always remain the same. We're all human, young and old... politics abolished. That's the secret, I think. How did these guys know so much so soon?

Peace to you all... Good night.

"When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down "happy". They told me I didn’t understand the assignment. I told them they didn’t understand life." — John Lennon

It's been reputed that Lennon wrote Help while having problems with depression.

I think we all are at this point. How can we live like this for 3 years and not be depressed?

Wow, for John Lennon to say that at age 5 is just temendously amazing, and his lyrics in that song reflect his true value for life and his own personal feelings and often reflect society in his other songs justifiably so.

That quote by John Lennon is one of my favorites. He showed his artistic abilities at a very young age. It is unfortunate as we look back on history, that all the great artists, whether is is art, music, writing, etc. have all had bouts of depression. Piccaso and Hemingway come to mind immediately.

yes, and think of all the poets that struggled through their own depressions and states of mental illnesses before they even knew what illness they even had, let along the word 'disease' likely not even existing. There's special on Michaelangelo on Wed. on PBS, at 8pm, that looks interesting, to the effect of his conflicted religious beliefs and other odd things about the great historian.
