Economists Dismantle Conservative Media's Latest "Stupid" Attack On Stimulus

The right-wing media is hyping a study that attempted to measure the state-by-state unemployment effects of the stimulus, to claim that the bill actually destroyed jobs. But economists, including Nobel laureate Paul Krugman, have raised questions of "cherry picking" and dismissed the study's findings.

Type in your zip code on the recovery act .gov site and look where some of the grant money went. Around here it went to MALDEF-type groups and La Raza.
Is it racist for the government to give tax dollars to organizations who aid and abet law breakers or only advocate for one race instead of AMERICANS in general?
Some of the stimulus money went to legitimate contracts building bridges into the sky.
Goto recovery.gov and see for yourself. In my opinion it was stupid spending that should be replaced by the free market. I mean a non-NAFTA free market.

This is such an odd opinion that we Americans seem to have, "if any part of something is bad then all of it is bad". The waste from the stimulus was done by the states, that is where it was largely distributed,
It's funny, when an organization "advocates for one race" gets federal money it's a shameful liberal agenda but when money goes organizations that support all Americans, oils companies, its fine.
So please, abusedworker, tell me how a how market would have saved us? I am all ears.
