Just curious to know if anything big is planned this week regarding the 99ers? Any meetings or debates planned in Washington? I am looking for a glimmer of hope to get by this week. This whole thing is really getting on my nerves now.

How can they just turn their backs on us? What did we do to deserve this? Maybe I will be cut throat next time instead of being the nice guy. Apparently, cheaters always get ahead.

Nothing since the CBC/Obama meeting. Apparently they are talking about attaching it to some big piece of legislation, not sure which though. Right now, its been added to the CBC 2012 budget. Nothing is written in stone though.

I asked crew of 42's Lauren Victoria Burke if they have a back up plan for 589. She said they are working on it.

I know your probably sick of hearing this, but hang in there...I have a feeling when they return from break we will start to see more action.

The House is off this week. It is their monthly one week "District Work Session". Representatives are supposed to be working in their home districts holding events and making themselves available to their constituents. You should check to see if there are any in your area.

I got a letter from my Rep. He is holding a "Get Together" with the two Senators from RI at the Providence Marriott - $100 a person. affraid

I am very disgusted with him. This is his first term. He was the mayor of Providence and since he's been in office as my Rep., he has been too busy fighting allegations of corruption in Providence City Hall that have been uncovered. After about 50 or so emails and hundreds of tweets about HR 589, I got a letter in the mail from him telling me he would keep my thoughts about Planned Parenthood in mind. He was really listening, wasn't he!

This is the latest email I got from him:

"Real" letters are discouraged. Any mail going to the Capitol, Whitehouse or any other Federal office building in Washington will be delayed anywhere from one to two months, if it ever makes it at all. Since the anthrax scare after 9/11, all mail to our elected officials goes through a screening process in Wallingford, CT.

Elected officials have stated that the preferred method of contact is email or fax. Here is a link to that information.

Maybe if we all overwhelm them with real letters, they will need more letter screeners and we will all get jobs.
