Washington Unemployment Rate Rises to 9.2%

That's despite the fact that the state added a seasonally adjusted estimate of 1,100 jobs last month.

Again, the figures do not make sense. Oregon released its UI rate yesterday, and despite losing 2,200 jobs more than last month, their rate went down to 10%. Washington gained jobs and their rate went up. I can't figure out how these numbers are arrived at.

I agree with that for Oregon, but Washington gained jobs, and the rate went up.
