The United States is in the middle of a massive jobs crisis, yet you rarely hear any politician address it seriously, or offer solutions. And there are more than enough problems to go around: there’s the shocking lack of jobs. The high unemployment rate. The millions who have dropped out of the labor force. The millions who still hope that they’ll be hired even though they’ve been out of work for six months, a year, two years. The millions who are about to lose their only income — unemployment benefits. The millions who may still lose their homes. The stagnant wages that aren’t keeping up with the cost of living.

The jobs crisis isn’t just hurting those who can’t find a job. The vast number of unemployed people is also pushing wages lower for those who do have jobs. How can you demand a raise if there are 20 million people ready to take your job?

I follow Marketwatch daily, and I am so glad to see them reporting on the jobless crisis. Rex did an excellent job of showing just how much this is affecting the economy. I still cannot understand what they can be thinking is going to get this Country out of this mess, if they don't spend to create jobs. And, also keep the UI money going into the local economies. Looks like some major publications are getting on board along with the WSJ. Good news!

Happy to see an increase in reporting on the "Truth" of the unemployment situation in America. I knew they could only hide the facts for so long.

2 words: Jobless Recovery.
