My benefits were cut more than 50% after 1 year
Soooo - I guess I'm looking for some other people that have had the same thing happen to them and if there was any resolution.
I called immediately when I received the 'thanks for playing letter...but' and there was a very nice man helping me. Seemed very empathetic and filed a claim immediately on my behalf. He did say that they do review people who's benefits have been reduced by 50% or more and most of the time they do give them more money.
Just wondering if any of you have faced the same situation. Not a fun situation to be in
Thanks!!

I faced a similar situation. Granted not a 50% loss but close, I lost 200 a week on my BYE.

I'm sure it's because you worked. There should have been a part time work fix that would keep you from being punished for working during the year but you may have to file an appeal to get it.

They just can't think of anything else to do to us so why not cut our unemployment in half. Yeah, I would call and find out why, some of these people are missing a light bulb, maybe two. Good luck, Dazed but I have all my light bulbs.

I was totally dinged for working at a temp job that paid me less than my original pay. We're talking a nearly $300 difference. It doesn't even amount to enough to pay my house payment. Are you saying this is something I should have appealed? I have one more payment on Tier 2 and I'm assuming I go to Tier 3 after (hopefully b/c NOTHING has panned out as of today). I'm in Colorado, btw.

here's a link explaining the law after July 24,2010; everyone should be aware of this some states seem that there not implicating this.

evw: I have a question for you, have spoken/made dialogue in past, haven't post on new site, just read over past several months, and won't allow me to send PM since haven't used this site yet for posting.
it's about Part-time fix rule, you'll recall who I am more than likely.
Thanx
