Prayers and support

That 589 is alive and stands a chance for passage! Anyone know anything about status of 589 and chances of passage! Sorry, but I need it desperately as others do, so it is on my prayer list!

Rep. Lee is still advocating for HR 589. Despite the fact that Good Friday was a holiday for Congress, she appeared on the Morning Rundown on MSNBC with Norah O'Donnell to advocate for it.

See our "Video of the Day", or read about it in the HR 589 forum.

The bill currently has 79 co-sponsors. Leading economists have added their support to it in order to drive up consumer spending. With more and more "99ers" emerging on a daily basis, as well as several states ending their EB programs, this piece of legislation is vital to keep our economy moving in the "right direction" (or so they say it is).

Rep. Lee and Rep. Scott have asked us all to lend our support to this bill by contacting the GOP Leaders involved, as well as the House Ways & Means Committee. Right now, not only is it up to Congress to make this happen, the burden also lies on us.

If we give up and stop our efforts, nothing is going to happen.

Believe me, I am in the same desperate situation you are in.
