Fla. unemployment: Jobless locals dread squeeze on benefits

Post by Jobless_in_Ma on Mon Apr 11, 2011 6:46 pm

Now this just really erks me

The Florida Legislature is considering a bill that would be the toughest in the U.S. when it comes to collecting jobless benefits. It would cut the maximum duration of payments from 26 to 20 weeks for people applying after Aug. 1. And as the unemployment rate drops, benefits could last as few as 12 weeks.

The bill also would allow employers to deny more employees benefits by making it easier to fire them for cause

This sounds like the "FINAL SOLUTION" towards the unemployed. These people are insane.

Florida is the worst of them. We should give it back to Spain. Smile

is it going to take over turning cars and setting fire to buildings to get noticed? It just seems they are marching us all to oblivion with this myopic austerity BS.
