REGARDLESS of the cause of extended high unemployment, it is a disaster for families, the economy and government budgets. Thus, if I am wrong, and more unemployment is structural than the current evidence suggests, this is no excuse for washing our hands of the problem. Only the nature of the needed policy response would change. Instead of focusing on increasing demand, we would need policies to help workers and jobs find one another, measures to move workers to where the jobs are (or vice versa), training programs and better education.

Until the greedy realize that raking in profits is more important than growth, we are stunted. Once the profits dwindle because there is no new innovation and no growth it won't be realized. Growth = Jobs. Greed stunts growth.

The only thing I can think is "they can't take it with them when they go."

American's middle class can't and will not take much more of this, we can be humble, but sooner or later we will get pissed off, it looks like it is going to be sooner than later, when a certain # is met and our backs are against the wall, we will open our windows and scream "I am not going to take this anymore" and we won't. That is when 95% of this country will drag down the top 5%. It is going to come. Americans don't like to be played with, and they have played us well and now with me on my EB, so my back is against the wall and I am not going to be "nice about this anymore" "I am not going to take it anymore." No one should have to take this. More press in total went to the possibility that Fed Workers would not be able to pay their bill in one night than we've received in 3 years. I was so pissed off seeing that Senator, and may other Federal workers, along with news persons saying federal workers needed their salaries to pay their bills and this is not their fault, WELL IT AIN'T OUR FAULT EITHER. To me it is just to bad they didn't get a little bit of what we been through for 1, 2, 3 years. But something is gonna happen soon. I am not a happy camper and neither are any of you. Dazed but not as confused.
