99ers: Lee + Scott to Push “Emergency Designation” with Boehner for H.R. 589

Where is White House on this? Rep. Barbara Lee will push for an emergency designation as a way to fund legislation to extend unemployment benefits for those who have run out of them. Yes, there is a lot going on here today, the looming backdrop of a government shutdown, the President calling Congressional leaders to the White House again today after a meeting late last night… but being busy and running around crazy is not new to any of the meeting’s participants…
Where is White House on this? Rep. Barbara Lee will push for an emergency designation as a way to fund legislation to extend unemployment benefits for those who have run out of them. Yes, there is a lot going on here today, the looming backdrop of a government shutdown, the President calling Congressional leaders to the White House again today after a meeting late last night… but being busy and running around crazy is not new to any of the meeting’s participants…

Well since EB is going down the toilet for everyone shortly, perhaps this would be a great way of convincing the Republicans there will be more than enough money left over from EB to sponsor the bill for 14 additional weeks in Tier 1.]
Then again, perhaps they have other uses for this money, like toilet paper, that is our currency anyway.

Good point dazed, plus all the food stamp money they would save and other assistance programs. Lots of off sets here.

Let's be clear. Obama has sold us out. Everything he said in his campaign was a lie.
Obama is Judas Iscariot come again. He betrayed us shamelessly, took his 30 pieces of silver, walked away laughing. And we not only didn't get a last supper, we didn't even get a kiss.
There is no point expecting any help or even any sympathy from the White House. In practical terms, they are the enemy.
I've read the comments about his meeting with the CBC, and he showed no sympathy for us at all, no interest in helping us, no recognition that the $14 Billion estimated price-tag of HR 589 could have been paid for 50 times over out of the $700 Billion that he just gave away to the richest 2%
Obama is a traitor.

Well maybe it will give them time to think about the states who rejected EB and how it could be used for the Tier 1 14 week addition. There will be plenty of money going around since most RED states will reject it.
