I don't think RI has any substantive plans to bring industry there. I don't think the whaling industry is coming back. Is RI the place to be for the next several years with no job? How hard is it going to be to get a job if you have been unemployed for 3-5 years? Check out other states with lower unemployment rates for better job prospects.

To my knowledge, RI has never been in the whaling industry, and if it was I would be protesting it. I think I've mentioned before in another thread I do not have the means or support to move to another state.

Please find that other thread and post your comments to me there.
