Speaker Boehner On the Latest Unemployment Report: Washington Needs to Do More to End the Uncertainty Facing Job Creators
House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) today released the following statement regarding the latest unemployment figures released by the U.S. Department of Labor:
“Any improvement in the jobs picture is welcome news for the country, but Washington needs to do more to end the uncertainty plaguing job creators. That means getting control of government spending, ending the threat of tax hikes, removing regulatory obstacles to job growth, and approving stalled trade agreements that would open new markets for American exports. These are the pillars of the Republican plan to help our economy get back to creating jobs, and it has been the focus of our new majority in the House.
“Excessive government spending continues to create economic uncertainty, erode confidence in our economy and crowd out the investment that fuels private-sector job creation. The House passed a bill more than 40 days ago that would cut spending and fund the government for the rest of the fiscal year to help end some of the uncertainty. But Senate Democrats have done nothing – except root for a government shutdown – and the White House has called for a job-destroying $1.5 trillion tax hike in its budget. They just don’t get it.
“Republicans are listening to the American people and focused on their top priority: creating jobs. By cutting spending and encouraging private-sector investment, expanding American energy production to address rising gas prices, reining in excessive government regulations and mandates, and removing barriers to job growth like ObamaCare, we can create a better environment for private-sector job growth. These are the reforms the American people are demanding, and our new majority is listening and working to deliver.”

“Republicans are listening to the American people and focused on their top priority: creating jobs."
I must have slept through the Republican job creation....http://www.whenarethejobs.com/
Not to mention the bit about listening to the American people, if that Idiot listened to the American people, he wouldn't have cried for TARP bail outs for one thing.
“Excessive government spending continues to create economic uncertainty, erode confidence in our economy and crowd out the investment that fuels private-sector job creation."
He's been in D.C. 7393 days, just how much of this excessive spending is his doing; quite a bit I'd say but as usual with this loser it is the fault of everybody else. Fricking hypocrite.

Typical!! I predict we will be seeing a lot of back-tracking done by the GOP in the next year or so...trying to cover their butts. More and more Americans are catching on to the two faced politicians. they make statements like this and then turn around and do, or have done, the exact opposite.
They will be trying to appeal to the voter base. I say no vote until they start taking the other 98% of Americans interests seriously and stop destroying the middle class. Everything they have done was for the top 2%.

He's all about helping Job Creators, what about the jobless. He has to look at both sides. The extension of the Bush Era Tax Cuts was supposed to be the magic pill. Instead of busting unions across the country, making State Workers and Teachers out to be the greediest people on earth, how about we take a look at what "Job Creators" are demanding. Greed? I think so.

This makes me sick...I'm sure he (Boehner) will use the new unemployment numbers to derail any hope of H.R. 589 getting passed. It needs to happen now, or I fear it never will.

A Bernie Sander's reminder of Top 10 Big Businesses that are NOT paying taxes...which of course would help our economy instead of the zero sum mentality persued against the middle class. The wealthiest people and the largest corporations in this country have got to contribute." Sorry it's so long!!
