Having a really bad night

Post by Guest on Wed Mar 30, 2011 9:59 pm

I have my good nights and bad night with depression...

Tonight is a VERY bad night.

Calling a hotline is not going to help.

I am sick and tired of sending out resumes and getting no where.

I'm not contemplating offing myself, I wish I could, death is a comfort to me at this point...

This world is so F*cked it is not funny....

Any way you can go back to school? It really helped me.

Listen you need to stay strong, look up a social worker in your area and go and talk please they can help. Look for help and don't be afraid to tell them your story. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU TRUST ME.

Lets chat for a bit.

I was a fighter, I never let anything beat be, I do not like to lose, and anyone who knows me knows that.

Now I'm done, almost 2 year unemployed I'm beaten down...

There is no fighting, there is no miricale waiting in the wings... I've run out of luck.....

Getthem is right. There is nothing wrong with you. I think everybody here has felt the way you are feeling right now more often than they care to admit. This whole hell of unemployment and sending out hundreds or thousands of resumes, most without even the courtesy of a response, has sunk all of our self-esteem to the bottom.

Nobody knows how we feel except the others here that are going through the same thing. There are times when we feel like giving up, but we can't do it. Our lives are worth more than that. It isn't easy getting through days like this but you will do it. I have many times.

We are here for you and will support you anyway we can. Vent away. You are in good company here, we completely understand.

Sending out resumes is like beating a dead horse... you get no where...

I am beyond the point for the feelings of unemployment, way beyond.... the different stages of feeling (Fill in the blank)

Would you please look into talking to a social worker in your area? My fiance is in school to be one and they can help.

I know how you feel. I have 18 weeks to make a miracle happen. I actually could get by with a part time job, which would be easier to find, IF I could pick up two contract jobs. I was offered one landscape contract but of course their is a problem. They haven't got rid of the last guy yet. So as time runs out for me I have friends thinking it's no big deal that they don't act. I hate to make it sound like it's my friends fault. It's just frustrating when they tell me to apply where they work for an open position that I know I won't get unless they put in a word for and then when I call about the position the hiring manager has no idea what I am talking about.

People that are employed make it sound so easy to find a job.

I refer to the people still employed as mostly Beautiful People (BPs). Like in my old company. They were the few to survive the layoff and still hold their jobs to date. Yet ironically were the very people who caused the downfall of the Company. But these BPs looked good, physically appealing, and talked a lot of smooth talk. But ZERO substance.
Thats what America wants and rewards today. God help us.

I think that is what the Republicans want to happen. The whole basis for the Logan's Run movie, or the 007 flick titled Moonraker.

Kill off the undersirables and keep only the most perfect looking specimens that can be easily brainwashed.
