99ers Push For 14-Week Unemployment Extension Bill Passage

Now this article was the same reporting, reporting the same but I did find it interesting that several comments were made by a person who claims to be a US Marine ready to get out and is appalled to what he has returned home to. It was GOOD to read, we need more of his brothers and sisters in the Armed Forces who feel the same to help in the fight.

God Bless the Marines and other soldiers who join us in this mission!

Thanks for posting this mm! You are right, we do need some veterans to speak out. There are thousands of them returning home to nothing. There would be empathy for veterans that we don't get, at least from the American people. Not so sure about Congress though after they filibustered and dragged out the assistance for the 9/11 first responders. If it doesn't add more money to the GOP coffers and their campaign contributors, they sweep it under the rug so they can cater to their rich cronies first.

By the way, for all the naysayers out there - the two day "Call to Action" was a huge success. All the Congressional aids members spoke to knew right away what HR 589 was and for the second day on Twitter, 99ers, HR 589 and jobs trended in the top 10. When you think about all the Twitter users, that is quite an accomplishment. Also, Rachel Maddow did a segment on unemployment tonight as well.

Now, if we can only get Boehner and his crew to listen, we would be all set - for 14 weeks.
