Take Action - Please tell your Representative and Senators Not to Cut Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) funding
Obama Administration Proposes Cutting LIHEAP in Half for FY2012: The Obama Administration announced its FY2012 budget, which included a cut of $2.5 billion to LIHEAP funding. A cut of this magnitude would result in over 3 million households – or almost 9 million people – to go without LIHEAP assistance.

Please sign the petition to President Obama to ask that LIHEAP not be included in the spending cuts.
Maybe some of us will have jobs by next winter, but we will be so buried in debt and struggling to get on our feet, this program will be needed by millions! Don't let them take this away too!

Here they go again cutting programs that are vital especially in this economy. This is madness.
If they hadn't given the tax cute to the wealthy none of these cuts would be needed.
What is wrong with this country..

Signed.. I agree JIM this is horrible. How are we supposed to survive if we dont have a job yet. We need shelter, heat, a roof over our heads. This isnt the country it used to be. I tell my parents about all thats going on and they think im lying. I ave to actually show them these articles. They are amazed.
Both my parents are life long republicans too. I think they are starting to finally under stand where a lot of my anger and frustration is coming from.
In these times, cut essential services to those hurt the most in this crisis.
What the heck is wrong with them!! Makes me so mad!! [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
